Bank Holiday Dates
Bank Holiday dates are also shown on our A4 Year Planner. You're very welcome to download it.
The year planner shows bank holiday dates in England and Wales.
In March 2O11 the UK Government proposed that the
Early May Bank Holiday be replaced either with a new Bank Holiday for Trafalgar Day (October 21st) or with a Bank
Holiday for St George's Day (April 23rd) in England and St David's Day (March 1st) in Wales.
If a change is made it will be in 2O13, so it will not affect 2O11 or 2O12.

Bank Holiday Dates are holiday days for most people. The Easter bank holiday has a long
tradition, though the Easter bank holiday dates change significantly from year to year so each year there's a
diifferent easter bank holiday date. May Day, Whitsun, the Spring Bank Holiday and the August Bank Holiday
also have bank holiday Monday dates that can be a different date from year to year.
Bank holiday dates are to be cherished: they afford us a respite from the hurly-burly of the hectic pace
of modern life. Let's all enjoy these too seldom refuges, let us treasure our UK bank holiday dates and keep these
bank holiday days in England.
