Bank Holidays are holiday days for most people. The Easter bank holiday has a long tradition, though the Easter bank holidays change date significantly from year to year so each year there's a diifferent easter bank holiday date. May Day, Whitsun, the Spring Bank Holiday and the August Bank Holiday are also bank holidays that can be a different date from year to year. Bank holidays in UK are to be cherished: they afford us a respite from the hurly-burly of the hectic pace of modern life.
